Your’e Not Alone.

Ram Gopal Varmaയുടെ Bhoot കണ്ട ശേഷം ഒരാഴ്ചയോളം റൂമിൽ ലൈറ്റ് ഇട്ടാണ് ഞാൻ ഉറങ്ങിയിരുന്നത് .NUS ഹോസ്റെലിന്റെ ഫസ്റ്റ് ഫ്ലോറിലായിരുന്നു റൂം.മംഗലശ്ശേരി നീലകണ്ടന്റെ പടിപ്പുര പോലെ എന്റെ ഡോർ എപ്പോഴും തുറന്നാണ് കിടന്നിരുന്നതെങ്ങിലും ഈ പ്രത്യേക സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ അടച്ചു പൂട്ടി കിടക്കുകയെ വഴി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളു. And the fact that i was reading The Exorcist ,the book the eponymous movie was based on,only added fuel to the fire that was fear .The scariest part of the book to me ,was not about ghosts but about the capacities of the human mind .This chapter was all about psychology of the chilling kind where the exorcist tries to prove to the authorities of the church that he was indeed dealing with an entity and not a mental illness.Well ,coming back to the story at hand ,ഇടയ്ക്കൊരു രാത്രി ധൈര്യം വല്ലാതെ കൂടിയ ഒരു യാമത്തിൽ ഹോസ്റെലിനു പിന്നിലെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞ പറമ്പിലെ ഇരുട്ടിലേക്ക് തുറന്നിരുന്ന ജനൽ അടയ്ക്കാൻ എണീറ്റപ്പോഴാണ് അടുത്ത മുറിയിലെ ലൈറ്റ് താഴെ മതിലിൽ വീണത്‌ ശ്രെദ്ധിച്ചത് .അപ്പൊ കാര്യമാക്കിയില്ലെങ്ങിലും രണ്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞു വീണ്ടും ഇത് കണ്ടപ്പോഴാണ്‌ ഞാൻ മെസ്സിൽ വെച്ചു പ്രതീഷിനോട് ചോദിച്ചത് ,exam വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടോ ?റൂമിൽ രാത്രി ലൈറ്റ് കിടക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു .
ഓ exam ഒന്നും അല്ലടാ ഞാൻ Bhoot കണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച എന്ന് പ്രതീഷ് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ Michael Jacksonന്റെ “Your’e not alone ” എന്ന പാട്ടാണ് മനസിലേക്ക് ഓടിയെത്തിയത് .
